The full framework
Most people start here. The book covers the method, tools, chapter sequence, and Five-Minute Check.
Bring a draft.
Practice a different way to see it.
A self-serve walkthrough of the same habit as the book: seat one Empty Chair, review the draft from that seat, then decide what to change. Not a prompt library.

Use a proposal, customer reply, plan, or other piece of AI-assisted work as your starting point.
Make the Ask clear. What does this draft need to help someone decide or do?
Identify the person closest to that outcome. Consider their situation and what the draft leaves unanswered.
Sort the observations. Decide what to use, what to check, and what does not belong in the next draft.
You don’t need a special project. Start with the reply you’re about to send, the proposal you’re reviewing, or the change your team needs to explain.
The walkthrough helps you notice the moment when another perspective matters. AI can suggest what you may have missed; you remain responsible for checking it.
For a team, that creates a shared question to ask before work moves forward: who hasn’t seen this yet?
Bring one piece of work. Practice the pause that comes before a better decision.
